Tarot
Tarot cards are based in archetype symbolism. They are found in stories, literature, mythology and more. Archetypes already have an established part of psychodynamic therapy. Jungian therapy, developed by Carl Gustav Jung, uses archetype work as a healing method. Common Jungian archetypes include The Shadow, anima/animus, and The Hero. The Shadow, for example, represents the unconscious part of the mind in the same way The Moon XVII tarot card can.
Tarot is not about predicting the future and it is not a replacement for therapy. Tarot is merely a tool that can be used on your healing journey to:
Examine value systems
Connect with your inner self and intuition
Problem-solve
Find clarity
Cope with and understand change
Self-reflect
I use tarot (by request) in my therapy and coaching practice to aid individuals in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
If you are seeking a Tarot reading only, please be sure to include the following on your contact form:
length (30/60 minutes)
virtual reading/email reading
Question(s): the more specific your question for an email reading, the more specific your guidance will be. Please include if there is an area of focus such as career, love, spirituality etc. Please refrain from yes/no type questions. Below I will list disempowering questions and provide more empowering replacements:
Instead of “ will I ever heal?” Try asking “How can I continue to support my healing?”
Instead of “Why aren’t I excelling in my career?” Try asking “What is an actionable first step I can take to move closer to my goals?”
You can start questions with “how”, “when”, or “what”
What can I expect from…What do I need to know about….
